Pogba slump during United defeat

Shock for Paul Pogba: The home of the French soccer world champion was broken into on Tuesday during Manchester United’s Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Atletico Madrid. The 29-year-old midfielder revealed this on social media.

“Last night our family’s worst nightmare came true. Our home was broken into. We were robbed while our babies slept in their beds,” wrote Pogba, who was responsible for the Red Devils’ 1-0 defeat (first leg 1-1 ) had been substituted on in the closing stages.

The intruders were less than five minutes at his property, but “they robbed us of something that was more valuable than anything we had in the house: the sense of security”.

“There is no worse feeling for a father than not having protected his children,” said Pogba. His wife was also at Old Trafford on Tuesday and witnessed the departure of team manager Ralf Rangnick’s team. Pogba announced a reward for relevant information so “nobody ever has to feel what I felt yesterday.”
