Podcast with Bonjasky | The Great-Collision 4 Afterthought, on Badr Hari’s Farewell and Overeem’s Plans | Martial arts

In an inserted In de Ring, the AD martial arts podcast with former kickboxing champion Remy Bonjasky, ‘The Flying Gentleman’ and reporter Tim Reedijk look back at Collision 4 in the Gelredome. In particular, the approaching farewell of Badr Hari and the title aspirations of Alistair Overeem are discussed in detail.

Round 1 is completely dedicated to Badr Hari. The 37-year-old martial arts legend fought two strong rounds against Alistair Overeem, but suffered a blow at the end of the second round and saw the victory slip from his hands in the third round. While winner Overeem and world champion Rico Verhoeven were verbally challenged, Hari announced that he was seriously considering putting away his gloves.

How did Bonjasky look at the party? What did he think of it game plan from Hari, who wasn’t as attacking as we’re used to from him? And what did he think of the hectic final minutes of the event, in which Hari spoke to the audience about his fantasies and there was even a group hug between Hari, Verhoeven and Overeem?

In the second round of the podcast it is about Overeem’s fighting style and his sneers at Verhoeven. Is that tactic to put Glory in a position that Verhoeven against Overeem will be the only logical world title fight in the spring? Finally, in the third round, it is about the rest of the map. Two fighters are featured in it: Tiffany van Soest and the deeply disappointed Tarik Khbabez who fought a hard fight with the new light heavyweight champion Sergei Masloboyev.
