Varpu and Sami Hintsanen discuss the dark period in the Iltanuotiolla podcast.

The episode talks about Varpu, among other things Senja– about the child’s illness and death. Senja died of cancer in June 2019. She was only 8 years old when she died.
Kuronen asks the duo in the podcast what their first reaction was when they heard about Senja’s cancer.
– After all, it was somehow… It can’t be helped that it felt extremely unfair. I remember that I thought it couldn’t be true, Varpu says in the episode.
– I reacted to it in such a way that I pulled the furious jurors at home. I pulled the mailboxes up from the ground and threw all the stuff around. I thought this shit can’t be real. Just when I started to be happy and felt like I could rebuild my life. The children had a wonderful extra adult in their lives and they are doing well. Then everyone was pulled down from the toilet, says Sami.
Sami continues his story by saying that it was the last night he “messed around” like that. Then he straightened up. Sami believes that the shocking incident saved his life, because after that evening, Sami sobered up.

The dynamics of the couple’s relationship also changed with the child’s illness. Senja moved into the couple’s bedroom to sleep with Varpu. Sami, on the other hand, slept upstairs in the house.
– We had a relationship very occasionally. It was taking care of everyday things. Who is at home, who is cooking, who is studying with which child for exams, because I was always in the hospital with Senja, Varpu says.
House sold
In January, it was reported that the Hintsases are selling their home in Akaa, Toijala, where they lived for a year and a half. The Hintsases got their home sold in the fall and then moved to Tampere.
Selling the house came as a surprise to Hintsaste’s followers, as they called it their dream home.
– This home is wonderful and perfect. It is exactly what it was designed to be like a few years ago, down to every drawing. We are sure that someone else will enjoy these unimaginably wonderful landscapes, moss forest and peace, which is here, Varpu commented on the followers’ curiosity on social media.
Varpu is known as a wellness coach and social media influencer. Sami, on the other hand, is known as a musician and actor. He was drinking Grab the mic program from 2006 to 2011.
