To climb – “I will be 80 in March and I am one of the youngest in the choir,” says Cees Herijgers (79), at the table in the marital bungalow in Klimmen, in South Limburg. That choir is the local male choir Sint Remigius, which was founded in 1956. “The oldest member is already 86,” says Herijgers. “I pick him up for rehearsals these days because he is quite forgetful. Dan no longer knows where he parked his car.”
