PNAU let the AI work for you

Despite the futuristic implementation, the music video process began quite conventionally, with Sivan filming his performance with his cell phone. He was then edited out of the background using AI automation and manual means before AI tweaks and video generation coupled with collective MELT’s human creativity and experimentation shaped the video. According to the press release, PNAU only had one requirement throughout the entire process, which was: “Can you make it look even more crazy?”

Video Producer Kuba Matyka explained, “The assignment was crazy from the start – it was supposed to look like a DMT trip inspired by the Stargate sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey. I mean, this is the best briefing we’ve ever had – and we recently used a brain-computer interface to develop real-time live footage for Netflix and Hania Rani, so we’re used to crazy, wacky stuff .”

Troye Sivan and PNAU on their cooperation

PNAU’s Nick Littlemore is quoted in the press release as follows: “Working with Troye again has been fantastic! Little did we know when we wrote the song that we would be lucky enough to have Troye Sivan singing and bringing his boundless creativity to the world of PNAU.”

Troye Sivan added: “I’m so glad the song is out in Australia just before summer starts – it sounds like a beach festival to me and I’m so happy it’s out now.”

This year PNAU have already worked on the soundtrack for “Elvis” and provided remixes for “Turn Up The Sunshine” by Diana Ross and Tame Impala as well as “2 Be Loved” by Lizzo. According to the press release, the trio already has another musical cooperation with for the beginning of 2023 bebe Rexha and Ozuna planned.
