A Boeing 737 from Albastar who was on the road from Eelde to Spain has returned tonight because of a medical emergency. The device had left around 8 p.m. from Groningen Airport Eelde towards Palma de Mallorca.
Above Brussels it was decided to get back. A spokesperson for the Drenthe airport confirms that this was indeed for “medical reasons”. At the airport there were two ambulances, a trauma team and also the fire brigade ready to provide assistance.
“The passenger in question was well taken care of,” the spokesperson said. Further details are not given due to privacy.
Alabastar’s aircraft is still leaving for Mallorca tonight.
