The man drove with his BMW towards Ledegem when he got off the road, hit a tree and ended up in a corn field. The car went over at least once.
The driver, a resident of Moorslede, was not under the influence. He was taken care of on the spot and then transferred to the AZ Delta in Rumbeke. His condition was serious, but not life threatening. The Breulstraat was temporarily closed to traffic.
