The men of StukTV have announced that they were shocked by the exploded course of the Confetticanon during their performance at the Boerenrock Festival in Drouwenermond. That says the manager of StukTV-Man Giel de Winter.
“We regret the situation enormously. This confetti cannon was hired once for this show on Boerenrock.” It went wrong around ten to eleven. After the countdown, the course of the cannon popped. As a result, pieces of PVC flew into the audience.
At least one person was hit. According to bystanders, it is a young woman who was hit by her leg. Fences were placed to keep other festival -goers at bay.
“We have now had contact with all parties. From the organization of Boerenrock to the victim,” says Leontine Mourits manager. “The confetti cannon met and meets all the conditions. This should not have happened, because someone was slightly injured in it, and that should never have happened. The boys of it were shocked.”
According to Mourits, it has been a technical defect on the course of the cannon that could make the incident happen. “It really has been an accident.”
