Picard opens new B2B online shop for retail partners

Leather goods retailer Picard launches a B2B shop for retailers. The new platform should enable trading partners to order and reorder goods in the future, the Obertshausen-based company announced on Wednesday.

The launch of the platform follows a pilot phase that has already been completed and is an important step in the digitization of sales on all channels. It is currently only possible to purchase the company’s stock goods via the platform. Picard plans to add these capabilities to pre-order and reserve merchandise.

“Too often, when a company announces that it will be investing in e-commerce in the future, it is taken as purely an investment in a DTC business,” said Johannes Montag, Picard’s head of e-commerce. “With our new B2B online shop, we show that we care about the holistic digitization of sales.”

In addition to the launch of the B2B shop, the company’s B2B newsletter will also be relaunched. This is intended to inform interested parties about further company-relevant innovations in the future.
