With FC Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel celebrated the triumph in the Champions League. Now pictures have appeared that show the trainer with his former players.
Before Thomas Tuchel starts his first international game as a coach of the English national team, he apparently took the time to see old acquaintances again. As can be seen in a contribution by the fiancee of today’s Arsenal professional Jorginho, the German celebrates with some of his former players.
In a series of pictures, Tuchel can be seen in a photo in a dark blue outfit with a cap. He holds Jorginho in his arm, on which he also shows with his finger. The two know each other from Chelsea from FC. The German coaches the club between 2021 and 2022.
With Mason Mount (Manchester United), Reece James (Chelsea), Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah (both Chelsea, currently loaned to Crystal Palace), other players with whom Tuchel had worked with the Premier League club were to see in the pictures. The 51-year-old celebrated the triumph in the Champions League in the 2020/21 season. Jorginho, Mount, James and Chilwell were part of the squad at the time. The German international Kai Havertz (now at Arsenal FC) scored the winning goal 1-0 against Manchester City.
After 100 competitive games, the paths between the English club and Tuchel separated. His next station led him to the Bundesliga to FC Bayern, where he was on the sidelines by summer 2024. In January, Tuchel then started working on the sidelines of the “Three Lions”. On March 21, the first test is waiting with the World Cup qualification game against Albania. Three days later it goes against Latvia.
