Philips himself swallows Impact Trade War and does not want to pass on costs to customers: ‘There are limits to that’

Philips itself takes the bill of trade war instead of moving the extra costs to hospitals and patients. “You cannot translate those prices one on one based on the tariff increases we have seen. That is simply not how it can work in our eyes,” says CEO Roy Jakobs. This year, import duties will yield to € 300 million in extra costs.
