A few weeks before the start of the Four Hills Tournament, Philipp Raimund is up there. On Sunday he only had to admit defeat to two competitors.

Another DSV eagle on the podium, again it was Philipp Raimund. With jumps of 131.5 and 129 meters, the Oberstdorfer secured third place in Wisla, Poland. Only Domen Prevc from Slovenia and the Japanese Ryōyū Kobayashi jumped further. Prevc had already won the day before – Raimund finished directly behind him in second place.

Felix Hoffmann also showed a good performance on Sunday. The 28-year-old came eighth with 128.5 and 128 meters. The day before he was fifth.

The weekend was less pleasant for the experienced jumpers Karl Geiger and Andreas Wellinger. As before, Geiger failed in qualifying. Wellinger once again didn’t make it to the final and only came in 47th with 115 meters. Andreas Wellinger said: “I didn’t manage to put energy into my jump the entire weekend. If you don’t have self-confidence, it won’t work.”

National coach Stefan Horngacher left it open whether the two would start at the home World Cup in Klingenthal. He explained on ZDF: “We will discuss this calmly with the athletes and make a decision by Tuesday at the latest.”
