Petteri Nummelin, who has represented Finland 15 times at the World Championships, is close to an agreement with HC Ajoie from Switzerland. A place for Akuien as a second coach is planned for Turku in the future.

– There is the right kind of passion in the company right now. Want to build a new thing there, but let’s see yet. The team does not have a head coach named. I have not signed the contract, but we have negotiated, Nummelin thinks.

The driving director of sports is Julien Vauclair.

– Familiar man. We played together for years in Lugano. I’ve been talking to him about it for a while now, the TPS breeder admits.

Things will be resolved next week.

HC Ajoie’s hometown of Porrentruy is located in the valley of the River Allaine, forty kilometers southwest of Basel near the French border. The city has 7,000 inhabitants.

Wealthy places

This season, 49-year-old Nummelin was part of the coaching team of the Norwegian team Storhamar. Storhamar made it to the Norwegian League final, but lost to Stavanger there.

HC Ajoien play in the Swiss Premier League. Coaching pests in Switzerland are very popular, especially now that not many Finnish players or coaches will be seen at KHL next season.

From the Swiss side, money-making work for the next season was watched, among other things Lauri Marjamäki, Antti Pennanen and many others.
