Czech athlete Petra Kvitova became the champion in women’s singles at the Miami Open Tennis Tournament. In the final of the Masters 1000 tournament held in Miami, USA, Kazakh Elena Rybakina (10) and Czech Petra Kvitova (15) faced off.


Defeating her opponent 2-0 with 7-6 and 6-2 sets in the fight that lasted for 1 hour and 42 minutes, 33-year-old Kvitova won her first and 30th championship of her career in Miami.


Kvitova, who reached the 9th happy ending in the Masters 1000 tournaments, caught up with Romanian athlete Simona Halep. Serena Williams is at the top with 13 championships in this field, and Victoria Azarenka is in second place with 10 championships.
