Peter van Dongen (58) draws colonial Indonesia and exhibits in Groningen: ‘If I am not satisfied, I erase everything’

Storyworld in Groningen shows the personal work of cartoonist Peter van Dongen (Amsterdam, 1966) until mid-April. In addition to watercolors and individual illustrations, original pages and sketches from Rampokan and Familieziek are on display, which depict the Dutch colonization of Indonesia and its far-reaching consequences.
