In the early 2000s, Peter Pacult was on the sidelines at 1860 Munich in the Bundesliga. Most recently he worked again in Austria, but now had to take his hat off.
After just 31 days, Peter Pacult’s commitment to Wolfsberger AC has already ended. The Austrian Bundesliga club and the 66-year-old are going their separate ways.
The club from Carinthia announced on Wednesday that after “strong discussions” between President Dietmar Riegler and Pacult, an “amicable separation” had been agreed upon.
Pacult only took over the coaching position from Dietmar Kühbauer on October 13th. In four league games under his leadership, the WAC only managed one win and one draw. There was also success in the ÖFB Cup. The WAC is currently in fourth place in the table, four points behind leaders RB Salzburg.
Pacult was active as a player for 1860 Munich, among others. He later began his coaching career with the Munich team. In Germany he was also on the sidelines at Dynamo Dresden and RB Leipzig.
