‘We would like to inform you via the enclosed press release that Peter Gillis has a new girlfriend.’ Gillis management wrote this to all media this week. Apparently Peter is already so well known for his parks and especially his real life soap on SBS6, that a new girlfriend is just news.
Peter Gillis announces that he has a new relationship with Wendy van Hout. ‘After coming to terms with his previous relationship with ‘Nicolleke’, Peter is open to love again.’
And it is very serious, as it turns out: ‘The plans are to live together in the not too distant future in Peter’s new villa in Neerpelt. “What’s good goes fast and Wendy is already part of the family,” says Peter Gillis. Fans of the popular reality series ‘Gillis family: Massa is cash register’ will certainly see Wendy pass by in the new season.
It was almost impossible to miss: the two lovebirds met at one of Gillis’ parks: Park Blauwe Meer in Lommel. ‘Wendy was looking for an annual place to make pleasant trips with her children. Coincidentally, they got talking here, after which they had a cup of coffee together. There was an immediate positive click.’
In the press release we learn everything about Peter’s new flame: Wendy van Hout was born and raised in Eindhoven. ‘She comes from a family with two hardworking parents and an older and younger brother. She has five children from three relationships. She has a good relationship with all her children and the fathers. The eldest two (19 and 17 years old) live and study in France and regularly visit her in the Netherlands. Wendy sees her three youngest sons (11, 9 and 4 years old) frequently, which means she has free access arrangements.’
And that’s a good thing, because family is super important to both, that’s how we learn. ‘Peter and Wendy are both family people and think it’s important to have a positive relationship with each other’s children. The children have already met each other and that went very well. Peter has also had a nice introduction to Wendy’s parents.’
