RTL Boulevard reporter Kiki attended the trial against the violent robbers of Mark Gillis yesterday. His father Peter Gillis was also present and he is controversial because of the alleged abuse of his girlfriend Nicol Kremers. He is also in the news because five of his nine holiday parks are in danger of closing.

Peter walks away

Logically, Peter was asked about this by Kiki. He then replies: “I can’t tell you more if you’ve read it all yourself, because you all know much better than everyone, of course, you understand? Bankruptcy is out of the question at all, so I wouldn’t know why.”

Then he gets very annoyed and walks away. “Everyone already has their opinion and Petertje has already been convicted. But I’m going to my son now, because that’s actually much more important to me, you know? Young lady, best regards.”

‘Are you deaf?’

Kiki: “But can you tell me how it is?”

Peter: “No, dude, that makes no sense, dude.”

A little later, son Mark shows up. “We will talk to PowNews,” he says firmly.

However, Kiki continues to ask questions. Peter to Mark: “You have to ask if she is deaf. You have to ask that.”

Not amused

Bridget Maasland says in the studio that she does not understand anything about it. “He was not amused, you can say, and why is he exactly so angry with Kiki, in this case, from RTL Boulevard?”

Colleague Rob Goossens: “It actually went very well beforehand. Our reporter was like, while we’re here, we don’t talk to him that often and there’s quite a lot to discuss with him.”

Bridget: “It’s quite logical that we ask that.’

Not bitten

Rob: “She started talking about Nicol and the case and then things changed a bit. When she also asked questions about those parks that may have to close, he strode away at one point. He then also instructed Mark not to speak to us about that matter again. Then it got a bit uncomfortable.”

Fortunately it ended well. “Kiki didn’t get bitten on the back, so she came off pretty good in that regard.”
