The pension bonus of more than 22,000 euros that the Vivaldi government introduced should entice Belgians to work longer. But figures show that of the more than 15,000 people who received the bonus this year, barely 1,680 actually worked longer than the official retirement age. The rest took early retirement and still got the money. That group is only going to grow. How is that possible? And what will the new government do about it?
