Penguins benched Kasperi Kapanen again

Pittsburgh Penguins won again without Kasperi Kapa.

Kasperi Kapase has become a substitute in the Penguins lineup. PDO

In the NHL round of the night, the Pittsburgh Penguins showed signs of awakening again, when they took down the Konkari center Yevgeny Malkin in the lead in the match played in Canada by the Toronto Maple Leafs 2–4.

No Finnish players were seen on the ice. A winger known for his speed Kasperi Kapanen has found himself in an unpleasant situation, as he was kept out of the Penguins’ lineup for the second time in a row. The Finn does not suffer from game-impairing injuries, so the reason for the benching is based on game performances.

Before this week, Kapanen had played in all of the Penguins’ matches. However, only five power points (1+4) were generated in the triple chain.

The Penguins had to make decisions last week when the team was on a seven-game losing streak. When Kapanen was sidelined as a healthy man, the Penguins have managed to win both of their games. Thus, Kapanen’s position in penguin jerseys is currently in a worrying state.

The Penguins are 14th in their conference.

The captains had a blast in Dallas

The Dallas Stars and its Finnish legion had to swallow a bitter lime when the San Jose Sharks went to get the points home with the numbers 4-5. Chilled in the middle of the first field Roope Hintz started Dallas’ streak in the final set by scoring his sixth goal of the season.

Miro Heiskanen had an assist on Dallas’ final hit. The match developed into a battle of captains, because those at the end of their careers Locan Couture and Jamie Benn both stretched the goal nets. To top it all off, the duo had a short boxing match in the second round.
