The entrance ramp from Peizerweg to the western ring road, in a southerly direction, will be closed for just under two months. Approach Ring Zuid will install sewerage and harden the asphalt. The closure starts Monday, January 29. Just before Operation Ring Zuid starts, on March 21, the ramp will be open again.

The western ring road must be ready when Operation Ring South starts. That is on March 22. From March 22 to September 2, there will be large-scale closures in the city and the rest of the ring road will be used as a diversion route.

The asphalt paving is necessary because the driveway will be connected to the new viaduct over Concourslaan. To achieve this, the road must be wider and higher, reports Aanpak Ring Zuid.

Detour

Car traffic that wants to go from Peizerweg to Freedom Square during this period will be diverted. Motorists drive in the opposite direction onto the western ring road and then immediately leave the ring road again at exit 17 (Hoogkerk/Hoendiep). At the bottom of the exit you come to a roundabout. From there, traffic can directly return to the ring road towards Freedom Square, the southern ring road and the A7.
