Clothing retailer Peek & Cloppenburg is expanding its presence in Eastern Europe and opening stores in Craiova, Romania, and Riga, Latvia.
The P&C store in Craiova is the first in the Romanian city and the ninth in the country, while the Riga store is the company’s second, P&C said on Thursday. The business is controlled from Peek & Cloppenburg KG Vienna.
Both stores are located in shopping centers, one in the Domina Shopping Center in Riga and the other in the new Promenada Mall in Craiova. The store in Promenada Mall has a sales area of approximately 2,800 square meters and offers over 100 different brands on one floor.
“We are pleased to invest in our strategically important location in Romania and open our next store,” says Alina Serban, Regional Sales Manager at Peek & Cloppenburg. We are continuing our expansion in stationary retail and are opening the tenth branch in Romania in Iasi in two weeks.”
The store, based in Riga, Latvia, is approximately 1,500 square meters. Both stores stock brands such as Hugo, Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren and CK Jeans, as well as Peek & Cloppenburg’s own brands.
