The accident happened around 6.30 pm at the intersection of Izegemsestraat and Lendeleedsestraat. One of them would have ignored the red one. The pedestrian ended up on the windshield of the car and eventually ended up on the asphalt.
Emergency services quickly arrived. The man was seriously ready and was brought to AZ Delta in Rumbeke in a critical condition. The driver of the car remained unharmed, but was very impressed by the accident. The Kasteelstraat was temporarily closed to traffic.
