Peak Performance has appointed Rainer Fink as head of business-to-business (B2B) operations in Central Europe. Fink will begin his new role on July 1, the Swedish sportswear label announced. He is following in the footsteps of Martin Gaffal, who is leaving the company after nine years to start his own company in the padel sports segment.

Gaffal will continue to lead the Central Europe team until the end of August 2026, ensuring a structured handover and business continuity for partners across the region. During his many years at Peak Performance, Gaffal has made a decisive contribution to the significant growth of the business in Central Europe over the past six years, according to the statement. He has also significantly strengthened relationships with customers across the entire portfolio, making the region one of the brand’s most successful markets.

His successor Fink also has many years of experience in senior sales positions in the premium sporting goods industry, according to the statement. Most recently, he worked as Global Head of Sales for the ski sports brand Toni Sailer and was previously responsible for sales as Head of Sales Central Europe at the gold and ski brand Lasse Kjus.

“With Rainer Fink, we are gaining a respected industry leader whose profile fits our strategic direction perfectly,” said Marcel Hess, Vice President Wholesale at Peak Performance. “High-quality technical outerwear requires the right specialist retail partners to reach the right target group. Fink’s close relationships with the leading specialist retailers in Central Europe and his track record in the area of high-quality functional brands make him the ideal person to drive this strategy forward.”
