They left the Kievpad in Haarlem at 9.00 this morning and then walked 44 kilometers to the Ukraine Street in Almere. And all this to raise money for Giro 555. Ben, Marieke, Anton and Wesley from Assen, together with Mr. Visser from Haarlem. And they accomplished the mission!
Ben informs NH Nieuws that they arrived at the street name sign of the Ukraine Street in Almere at 19:43. “We’re pretty tired, stiff legs and sensitive feet,” says Ben. “It was a nice trip and we have received a lot of extra donations.” The counter is now up almost 4,000 euros† They walked via Amsterdam and Muiden to Almere.

At the moment they are back in the car on the way back to Assen. They are also very impressed by the walking pace of 84-year-old Haarlemmer Jaap Visser. This morning he joined the walking group at the Kievpad and so walked all the way with them for 44 kilometers.
