The main grandstand of the Valkeakoski football stadium, Tehtaa kenttu, burst into flames on Sunday evening.
Congressman Pauli Kiuru (kok) published an update on the topic on Instagram around 9 pm in the evening. Kiuru from Valkeakoski is a familiar sight at Haka’s home matches.
– In Valkeakoski, Tehtaa field’s grandstand will be lit. A terrible blow to FC Haka and Valkeakoski. The club will rise again, Kiuru wrote in connection with his video release.
He hoped the fire did not cause any injuries.
– The first videos I saw – burning liquid on the field or something like that.
There is currently no information on the cause of the fire. Several units of the rescue service were called to the scene.
The factory field is a traditional football sanctuary. It was opened in 1934, and its most recent renovation was completed in 2001, when the end grandstand was opened.
