Paul Drux is about to make a comeback after a long period of suffering

National handball player Paul Drux is about to make a comeback around eight months after tearing his Achilles tendon.

The Füchse Berlin backcourt player was named by coach Jaron Siewert in the squad for the away game at TBV Lemgo Lippe on Saturday (7:00 p.m.). The foxes announced this on Friday.

“I’m exactly on schedule with the doctors who predicted six to eight months for me and I’m very happy that the time is finally over,” said 28-year-old Drux. The right-hander sustained the injury last April during the national team’s away game in Sweden.

Despite the impending return, Drux is not an option for national coach Alfred Gislason at the home European Championships next year. The Berliner is not included in the expanded 35-man squad for the tournament in Germany (January 10th to 28th, 2024).
