Patty Brard and Jeroen van der Boom lose their exclusive contract with SBS 6. Of course it remains a guess what the reason is: they themselves say that it is voluntary, but evil tongues claim otherwise.
Now that SBS 6 is dominated by the men of Today Inside, the artist stable is being thinned out considerably. Yvonne Coldeweijer was the first to report yesterday evening that Jeroen van der Boom is leaving the channel. “SCOOP! Jeroen from the Tree’s contract with SBS has not been renewed,” said the juice diva.

It turns out to be true. And the same goes for Patty Brard. “Patty Brard confirmed to us today that she will not renew her contract with Talpa, which expires at the beginning of 2023. The permanent expert of Shownieuws says he wants to go freelancing, but still has to sit down with Talpa on December 9,” said Luuk Ikink in RTL Boulevard.
He continues: “She thought it was a bit strange to discuss this with us now. We also called Talpa. They were a bit shocked and they did not want to respond further.”
Jeroen too
Jeroen is also leaving. “Jeroen van der Boom’s contract will have a different interpretation. He says he is in talks with Talpa about a contract in which he can also do other things, apart from his regular channel,” Luuk reports. “Some changes seem to be taking place at Talpa.”

And what is Jeroen’s reason? “I know from Jeroen van der Boom that he had to make certain programs of his contract and I suspect that he did not do everything with the same sense of purpose, so I understand that he is looking for something more flexible. And he is such good friends with John de Mol, I assume it will be ok.”
Yvonne has other information. She says: “Apparently he wanted to renew for more money, but his bestie John wouldn’t agree. You just have to get it from your friends. How Jeroen’s career will be further fleshed out is still unknown.”
‘He denies’
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegen has spoken to Jeroen, who denies Yvonne’s claim. “Jeroen denies that. He says that has nothing to do with it,” he says in the podcast Strictly Private.
Jeroen confirms that his exclusive contract with SBS 6 is coming to an end. Jordi’s colleague Evert Santegoeds: “It could be related to the merger.”
