Arminia Bielefeld’s offensive player Patrick Wimmer is apparently about to switch to VfL Wolfsburg for the coming season. The talks are well advanced, reported the “kicker” on Tuesday.
Wimmer is an Austrian U21 international and only switched from Austria Wien to Arminia last summer. The 20-year-old scored three goals and prepared eight goals in 24 league games for the current second-last in the Bundesliga.
Wimmer can be used flexibly on the offensive. According to the report, thanks to an exit clause in his contract, he can leave Bielefeld for seven million euros in the event of remaining in the class and a transfer fee of five million in the event of relegation.
