Strasbourg Club announced that they signed a 3-year contract with French coach Vieira for the coaching position vacated by Frederic Antonetti.
During his football career, 47-year-old Vieira played for leading European clubs such as Milan, Arsenal, Juventus, Inter and Manchester City. During his coaching career, he worked in New York City, Nice and most recently Crystal Palace.
Strasbourg, which collected 40 points in Ligue 1 last season, was in 15th place, 5 points above the relegation line.
