Patrick Masschelein is recovering from a brain haemorrhage at the neurorehabilitation department of AZ Delta Roeselare. To show what all patients still have to offer, there is this cozy Christmas market.

“I thought I would never be able to do anything again. And look, it’s almost two years since I got it. It’s not much, but it’s a start,” says Patrick.

“It is indeed true that patients experience in the environment that they are often told: yes, but they can no longer do that. It is always a danger to take over things. We try to make it clear what the patient can still do and It is also important that you, as an employer, also know this,” says physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor Charlotte Schepens.
