The white wild boar was spotted at the Neerpeltse Water Polo Club. “I’ve seen boars walking around in the area before, but this was the first time here at the club,” says nature guide Marcella Stappers. “I heard from a friend that there were two wild boars, even a white one! At first I thought they were saw a sheep, but when I went to see for myself I could not believe my eyes.”
A wild boar that does not have the usual dark brown color is rare. “I must confess that I have never heard of a white wild boar before, let alone that I have seen one myself,” confirms Jeroen Denaeghel of ANB. “This is really rare.”
