Ryanair passengers at Eindhoven Airport have to wait hours for their luggage on Sunday. Incoming and departing flights have to deal with delays. This is due to understaffing with luggage handler Skytanking. A family from Eindhoven is visibly irritated in the arrival hall. “I had to wait two hours and there was zero information about what was going on. Now I only want one thing, go home as soon as possible!”
The patience of passengers and people waiting for them is put to the test. Some are angry about the state of affairs. Such as Lindsay from Manchester, England, who comes to Eindhoven for a holiday. “I had to wait two hours for my luggage. No information was given at all by Ryanair or the airport. And then the luggage also came to the wrong band. We missed our taxi, which costs us more than seventy euros. It is all very frustrating. It is horrible and I am very irritated. I can’t wait to finally be in my hotel and start our vacation.”
A Frisian family from Leeuwarden is already waiting for their son for two hours on the plane from Marrakesh. “He is not allowed to leave the plane and it all takes a very long time, but yes it is no different,” they respond soberly. An Englishman who has just arrived says he has waited no less than three hours for his luggage. “It was terrible, we didn’t get any information at all. I only want one thing now and that is gone here”.
Ryanair is the only airline that uses sky tanking. A few Belgians who arrive and flown with Transavia let us know that everything was going super well.

Not everyone is worried. Johan from Sprundel has been waiting for his son for almost two hours in the arrival hall. “My son comes with Ryanair from Valencia. They have to stay on the plane due to problems with the luggage handling.” He doesn’t really care that he has to wait a little longer than he expected: “Well, it’s Sunday and so we take it easy.”
