A hot air balloon has made a hard landing tonight in the outskirts near Veendam, just over the provincial border. A passenger was injured.
The hot air balloon, with several people on board, ended up in a potato field on the Numero thirteen. The victim was taken to the hospital.
Almost two weeks ago a 66-year-old woman died in Frisian De Hoeve and five people were injured when a hot air balloon made a hard landing in a meadow. There were 34 people in the balloon.
