A participant in the battle around Norg has become unwell and died this afternoon. The mountain bike competition with more than 2200 participants then stopped early.
The finish of the battle coincided with the first edition of running event from Brink to Brink, in which more than 500 runners participated. That competition, with starting in Roden and finish in Norg, was also closed rather than planned after the tragic incident.
“Unfortunately this day was given a very sad turn. During the trip a participant became unwell and died of this,” reports the organization of the battle for Norg.
“Out of respect, we as an organization have decided to end both events early. Our thoughts go to the family and those involved. We wish them all the strength and strength in this great loss.”
