Florence wants to get back on track. The traditional club is introducing a new head coach.
AC Fiorentina has responded to the sporting downturn and hired Paolo Vanoli as their new coach. The club, where national player Robin Gosens is also under contract, presented the 53-year-old on Friday – just one day after the 1-2 defeat in the Conference League at FSV Mainz 05. Vanoli is expected to be on the sidelines in the away game against CFC Genoa on Sunday.
Vanoli was recently without a club. In the summer he left FC Torino after just one season. Now the former Italian international is taking over a team that is currently in deep crisis.
After ten matchdays, Fiorentina is at the bottom of the Serie A table with four points. The club is still waiting for its first win of the season. There has never been such a bad start in Italy’s top division in the club’s history.
