It is in fact a revision custom made – that is, specially made – of a garment in the collection Spring-Summer 2023 Of Dolce&Gabbana, the #CiaoKim signed by the other famous stylist duo with none other than Kim Kardashian. A line that refers precisely to the looks of the Maison of the past, revisited according to her own taste by the Skims entrepreneur.

The double piece has been modified once again to suit the Ariston’s stage performance. The “disco” touch for the performance could only be further underlined, considering the dance background, by the make-up and jewels. And indeed the stylist Nick Cerioni completed the look of Paola and Chiara at Sanremo 2023 with brilliant jewels signed Swarovski. Specifically, the hoop earrings Millennia and the rings Hyperbola And Victor for the brunette Paola Iezzi, while the blonde Chiara wore earrings and rings Millennia from the collection designed by Jeanne Engelbert.

The inspiration, a 2007 runway model

The bustier is the same while the runway model staged in February 2007 focuses on a finer metal mesh, decorated with crystals and lamé. The dress that supplied the material to Kim instead dates back to the 1998-99 collection.

Déjà-vu: Naomi Campbell’s dress
But if only fashion enthusiasts remember this formidable outing, the duo’s dress reminded many of a decidedly more “popular” shot: the look chosen by Naomi Campbell in 2007 to greet the end of the socially useful work to which she was sentenced.
