As a journalist, panting behavior can sometimes get you a scoop. But just as often it threatens to completely spoil your story. I realized this when I traveled with a group of (tech) journalists to the Ghanaian capital Accra to investigate how European electronic waste ends up in one of the world’s largest and most notorious landfills.
