STUTTGART (dpa-AFX) – Green Party lead candidate Cem Özdemir was also able to clearly win his own constituency in Stuttgart and won the direct mandate for his party in the state capital. According to the preliminary results, Özdemir won 47.9 percent of the first votes in the Stuttgart II constituency – 9 percentage points more than his predecessor, Green Party Transport Minister Winfried Hermann, received in 2021. The brother of Stuttgart Mayor Frank Nopper, Klaus Nopper, follows in second place with 25.0 percent.
