Özcan Akyol receives support from the A-stars from the so-called prominent panel of gossip magazine Story. They do not find his request to Princess Beatrix offensive. “It must be possible.”
It’s complete not done: Özcan Akyol asked Princess Beatrix during a short meeting if she would like to participate in his program Stars on the Canvas. You shouldn’t ask something like that from a royal person and that’s why the RVD was quite pissed off with the presenter. But is that actually right? Story’s panel of prominent figures doesn’t think so.
‘Nonsense!’
Story’s celebrity panel, consisting of A-stars who give their opinion on current topics every week, believes that Özcan has not gone too far. “No. I think it’s nonsense. If you are having a one-on-one conversation, you can ask something like this. Beatrix is just an ordinary person,” says hit singer Ronnie Tober.
Businessman Johan Vlemmix agrees. “It is a normal question that he asked, and the princess can simply answer that.”
‘Feel free to ask’
Frans Duijts and Saskia & Serge say that questions are always welcome and Rob Geus says: “It is an honor if you are asked for that program. Even though you are Princess Beatrix.”
And finally Sjoukje Smit: “He has the right to ask her for his program.”
All in all, the heavyweights of the Story prominent panel are unanimous. Time for the RVD to scratch its head…
