Overcrowded trains between Kortrijk and Bruges due to structural problems at NMBS
This is what the NMBS writes in an answer to Bruges mayor Dirk De fauw, who raised the issue.
In September and October, the peak hour trains from Lichtervelde to Bruges were packed several times. Some commuters, including many children, were often forced to take a later train. After a petition from Lichtervelde, the mayor of Bruges also asked the NMBS for a statement. He says that new trains have been ordered, but that the delivery is taking longer.
