Allike Store ceases operations after 16 years.
The Hamburg streetwear and sneaker retailer announced its closure on Monday on the career network Linkedin. The company started with its own online shop in 2009, which was followed five years later by the physical store in Hamburg-Altona. In 2020, A.Plus, a retail concept for designer fashion, and the sandwich shop Willi’s were added.
“Change is everywhere – this of course also applies to the sneaker industry. The industry has changed a lot since we started, and it can be difficult, especially for smaller companies, to assert themselves,” the company said in the post. “We want to thank all the sneaker shops and customers who continue to contribute to the culture we love so much. We couldn’t make it and will be closing our doors for now.”
