A child of eleven was driven to death in a park, and there was a lot of indignation about it this week. Everywhere were opinions – some right from the abdomen, others inspired by ratio. But with populism we don’t get anywhere, says our reporter Sabine Vermeiren. “Fabian is dead, and that had to be someone’s fault. And with whom otherwise they could lie with the police?”
