A lot of food trends appeared on social media, but also on TV, again this year. Combining two existing dishes into a new dish: that turned out to be the trend of 2023. On TikTok they call this ‘food mashups’. High time to select another expert panel of gourmets who want to examine the dishes.
We previously made a series of Fijnproevertjes in which we let children taste traditional Drenthe dishes. This was followed by a Gourmet Senior, in which elderly people ate modern dishes. In this series, six children and six elderly people give their unvarnished opinions about the food trends of 2023. Nice detail: The elderly have all been in an item from RTV Drenthe in the past year.
