The fight against rats in the Netherlands is becoming increasingly difficult. The plague is growing, while fighters get stuck in regulations and administrative burdens. “We knew that stricter rules would bring complications, but now we are at a point that many companies simply no longer do large cities and old buildings,” warns Patrick Kramer, owner of Jonker Pest Control. While rats benefit from food and hiding places, the Netherlands threatens to lose control.
