Munich (ots) – Drivers in Brandenburg and Bavaria
currently have to pay the highest fuel prices in Germany. The
monthly ADAC evaluation of gas station prices in the 16 Germans
Federal states shows that Super E10 in Brandenburg with an average of 2.078
Euro costs the most. The most expensive refueling country for diesel drivers is Bavaria: The
The price for a liter of self-ignition fuel there is currently 2,212
Euro.
The cheapest places for drivers to fill up at the moment are Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia.
In the Hanseatic city, a liter of Super E10 costs an average of 2.026 euros, or 5.2
Cents less than in Brandenburg. The cheapest federal state for diesel drivers is
North Rhine-Westphalia with an average price of 2,148 euros per liter. Diesel
is therefore 6.4 cents cheaper in the most populous federal state than in the largest
German land of Bavaria. There is a tendency for more densely populated federal states,
where there are also a higher number of gas stations, a little cheaper because
there is more competition there.
Overall, according to ADAC, fuel prices are roughly at the same level

The most expensive federal states, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate were the cheapest.
Today’s evaluation also shows that the proximity to favorable neighboring states
has little influence on the level of fuel prices in individual federal states.
So neither Brandenburg’s neighborhood can be compared to the significantly cheaper Poland
Prices on the German side are still reducing Bavaria’s proximity to Austria,
where refueling is also significantly cheaper than in this country.
The ADAC recommends comparing fuel prices before refueling

The evening is no longer the best time to refuel, but shortly before 12 p.m
at noon. The new tank regulations since April 1, 2026 stipulate that only
once a day – at 12 noon – fuel prices will be raised
and can then only remain the same or be reduced for 24 hours
may.
For today’s investigation, the ADAC has the price data from more than 14,000
