The fashion group opened the flagship stores of Amiri, Jil Sander, Maison Margiela and Marni in the new luxury mall JC Plaza in Shanghai on a total area of ​​over 2,400 square meters. For Maison Margiela it is the largest flagship store in the world. Located on Nanjing Road, the legendary street home to the world’s leading luxury brands, the rooms are designed to offer visitors an immersive experience.

The retail project is part of the company’s development plan in China, which is emerging as the most important market for fashion and luxury goods in the world and is characterized by young consumers interested in avant-garde brands.

“The JC Plaza project is a tangible sign of our growth and development plans in China, a country that will soon account for 50 percent of global fashion and luxury consumption,” said Renzo Rosso, Chairman of the OTB Group, in a statement.

OTB plans to place a third of its global investments in China over the next three years. One of the key points of the plan is to expand the country’s physical retail network, with the company planning to double the number of stores by 2024.
