Oscars 2023: The best music performances by Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more

Both 95th Academy Awards As usual, the music was not neglected.

Lady Gaga was not officially scheduled until shortly before the awards show, as she is currently busy filming “Joker: Folie à Deux”. At the last moment she managed to arrange it, the song “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick” to perform live.

With Lady Gaga, all five nominated artists in the category “Best Original Song” could be heard on the show.

The other performers were also able to convince with moving performances: Rihanna sang “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

“In Memoriam” with Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz also performed at this year’s Oscars. The 58-year-old accompanied the “In Memoriam” portion of the show with a musical rendition of “Calling All Angels.” The segment has been a staple of the annual Academy Awards since 1994, honoring more than 200 people from the film industry this time.
