Marijn van den Berg Sprint to stage victory in Route d’Occitanie
Marijn van den Berg has won the second stage of the Route d’Occitanie, formerly the Route du Sud. The rider of EF Education – Easypost was the fastest in the Peloton Sprint after a ride over 196 kilometers from Gignac Vallée de l’Hérault to CARMAUX Ségala. The Frenchman Dorian Godon finished second and his countryman Sandy Dujardin finished third.
The Spaniard Raúl García Pierna, winner of the opening time trial in the four -day French trip race on Wednesday, retains the leader’s jersey.
