The German Outdoor outfitter Ortovox has announced the next range extension. From the summer of 2026, the collection will be supplemented by products for the area of sports climbing, the company belonging to the Schwan-Stabilo group announced on Thursday.
In June, the mountain sports specialist had already announced that he would like to launch his first mountain bike collection next summer. With the now announced collection expansion around the “Affinity” series, which includes clothing and functional accessories, Ortovox will also become “a comprehensive brand for climbers,” the company explained.
CEO Stefan Kohlbauer explained the background of the decision. “Sports climbing is a logical development step for Ortovox. Our brand enjoys a high degree of trust and reputation in the mountain community when it comes to design, protection and function,” he said in a statement. “With our experience in the creation of robust products for all situations on the mountain, we are well prepared to offer the sports climbing community an authentic and well thought-out collection.”
